Tomorrow.io offers access to both forecast and historical weather timelines. The availability and depth of each depend on your platform access level or API plan. This article outlines what timeline ranges are available, how they differ between the core and premium offerings, and how to request extended historical data.
Forecast Timeline
Forecast data is available across the platform and API, with different access levels based on your plan.

Forecast data supports alerts, insights, reports, map layers, and API endpoints. Premium forecast access includes NextGen™ probability forecasting and longer lead times for operational planning.
Historical Timeline
Historical data refers to actual recorded weather conditions, not forecast data.

Historical Archive (Premium)
For extended historical use cases, Tomorrow.io maintains a weather archive dating back to 2000. This data is available via the API and is priced based on:
- Size of request area (point, polygon, polyline)
- Number of locations
- Number of parameters requested
- Type of parameters (e.g., core vs. radar-based)
This archive access is token-based and requires a sales consultation to scope the request and determine pricing.
