How to Set Up Calendar Events

1. API Integration

Connect your calendar using the Calendar Events API.
You’ll need to provide:

  • Event name

  • Start and end time

  • Location

Each event supports a single location to ensure accurate weather parameter calculations. However, you can associate multiple events with the same location if needed. While events can technically span any duration, we recommend limiting them to a maximum of four days to maintain forecast reliability.

Recurring events must be submitted as individual entries. For repeat scheduling, we recommend using your calendar system’s automation to push recurring events through the API.

⚠️ Setting up Calendar Events requires developer involvement from your team. Integration is done via the Calendar Events API, where you'll need to provide event name, start and end time, and location for each event.

2. Viewing and Managing Events

Use the Events Management Page to:

  • View all synced events

  • Edit event metadata (e.g., name, time, location)

  • Review connected alerts

  • Access related weather insights

Events are also visible in your dashboard, allowing you to track ongoing and upcoming conditions directly alongside your operational views.

3. Creating and Managing Alerts

Navigate to the Alert Setup section to:

  • Create alerts specific to event type, time window, and location

  • Apply criteria such as wind speed, lightning, or temperature thresholds

  • Automatically link alerts to newly submitted or synced events when matching criteria are met
