The Meteogram displays weather parameters over time, allowing users to analyze forecast and historical conditions in a graphical timeline. It supports hourly, daily, and custom intervals for comparing weather trends across locations.
The Meteogram is a weather visualization widget that displays forecast and historical weather parameters over time. It helps users analyze weather trends, compare conditions across different time intervals, and monitor precipitation accumulation for operational planning.
The Meteogram is available as a widget in Operational Dashboards and in other supported platform experiences, such as Reports.
🌐 The Meteogram is available for all Tomorrow.io platform users via the Operational Dashboard.
What It Is
The Meteogram visualizes weather parameters over time using an interactive timeline.
Depending on the selected configuration, the Meteogram can display hourly, daily, or custom time intervals, allowing users to compare forecast and historical conditions for one or multiple locations.
The Meteogram supports a variety of weather parameters, including temperature, wind, humidity, precipitation, and accumulation values.
For information about adding and configuring dashboard widgets, see Customized Operational Dashboards.
Meteogram Precipitation Accumulation
The Meteogram displays precipitation accumulation values from the Tomorrow.io Platform.
Precipitation values are displayed as follows:
| Time interval | Calculation |
|---|---|
| Hourly | Displays the precipitation accumulation for the individual hour. |
| Daily | Displays the total precipitation accumulation for the day. For shorter-range forecasts, the daily value is calculated by summing the hourly accumulations. For longer-range forecasts, the daily total is provided directly. |
| Custom intervals (for example, every 3 hours) | Displays the sum of the hourly accumulation values within the selected interval. |
| Total Precipitation | Displays the combined accumulation of rain, snow, and ice. |
Note: Displayed values are rounded to one decimal place. Color coding highlights heavier precipitation based on predefined thresholds.
