Smart Monitoring delivers zero-setup, proactive weather risk insights to help users take faster, better-informed decisions-without requiring manual configuration. This feature enhances platform engagement by surfacing relevant, industry-based insights automatically, supporting more timely and efficient operations.

When to Use Smart Monitoring

Use Smart Monitoring if you want to:

• Get immediate visibility into weather risks without configuring alerts manually
• Improve decision-making speed and accuracy at the location level
• Increase monitoring adoption across your organization
• Enable operational users to discover relevant insights directly from the map or dashboard

What It Does

Smart Monitoring provides preconfigured weather intelligence for your industry by:

• Automatically surfacing relevant weather insights based on your industry
• Displaying those insights directly in the location side panel and a dedicated studio widget
• Highlighting risks that haven’t yet been set up for alerts, ensuring nothing important is missed

Key Features

• Proactive Weather Intelligence: Smart insights are pre-matched to each account's industry and surfaced automatically.
• No Setup Required: Insights are enabled by default for all accounts. No configuration or onboarding is needed.
• Location-Level View: Insights appear when selecting a location on the map—visible in the side panel.
• Studio Dashboard Block: A central widget shows all current Smart Insights across the account, filterable by severity, type, and location.
• Turn Insights into Alerts: Admin users can convert any smart insight into a monitor and alert in one click.
• User Feedback Loop: Admins can mark insights as "not relevant" to remove them and refine future visibility.

Access and Availability

• Free for all Tomorrow.io users.
• Available by default on all accounts.

Visible via:

• A dedicated Smart Monitoring block in the Studio
• The side panel when selecting a location on the map

How to Use

1. Select a location on the map to open its side panel.
2. Review any Smart Insights shown-automatically matched to your account and industry.
3. Click on an insight to view full details.
4. Admins can choose to:
   • Convert an insight into a configured monitor
   • Mark it as not relevant to remove from future view
