Tomorrow.io Data as a Service (DaaS) enables organizations to retrieve large volumes of weather data through managed export jobs, without needing to make individual API requests for each location or dataset.

Customers can define their data requirements and receive generated files directly in cloud storage.

Available Export Types

DaaS currently supports two export types:

  • Bulk Timeline Export: Retrieve weather timeline data for large numbers of locations through a single managed job.
  • Model Data Export: Retrieve weather model datasets in bulk for use in external applications and analysis workflows.

How DaaS Works

DaaS follows a managed export workflow:

  1. Configure an order: Work with your Tomorrow.io account team to define your data requirements, output format, and delivery schedule.
  2. Generate data: Tomorrow.io processes the order and prepares the requested weather data files.
  3. Deliver files: Generated files are delivered to a Tomorrow.io-managed cloud storage bucket or your organization's cloud storage bucket.

Exports can be configured for one-time delivery or recurring execution based on a defined schedule.

When to Use DaaS

DaaS is designed for organizations that need to:

  • Retrieve weather data for large numbers of locations.
  • Access weather model data in bulk.
  • Schedule recurring data exports.
  • Integrate weather datasets into external systems or analytical workflows.

Access and Pricing

DaaS orders are configured with assistance from your Tomorrow.io account team.

Pricing is based on the volume of data requested.
