What is Lightning Flash Rate Density?

Lightning Flash Rate Density is a forecasted global parameter that can give Tomorrow.io users a better understanding of how many lightning flashes may occur per square km every 5 minutes.

It is forecasted 90 hours out and does not offer real-time data. LFDR is the ratio of the total number of flashes in a grid cell and the area of the grid cell.
