How are Polygons/Polylines Supported in the API?

Polygons are another method to get any min/max/average of numerical weather data within a given area of interest, can also be used to set alerts.

Polylines are string definition and can be used to get min/max/average of numerical weather data and can be used on Alerts.

• Restrictions:

  • maxVertices=70

  • maxAreaKm (polygon) = 500

  • maxLengthKm (polyline) = 70

You can pre-define their locations of interest, set insights over those locations and alerts that will notify when an insight’s condition was met. You can also send polygons on the fly to the data endpoints to get min/max/average values of each requested data fields.
