When using the “1d” timestep for precipitationIntensity, is the value returned the total daily precipitation? Are the units in mm/day or in/day?

The value returned from the API for the “1d” timestep values is the MAX value for that day. So specifying “1d” for precipitation intensity returns the MAX precip rate for the time period, in either in/hr or mm/hr, rather than the total/sum of all the precip intensity values.
