When an Insight is triggered for a polygon or polyline location, users can now use the Impact Investigation feature to better understand which areas are affected.

When to Use This Feature

Use Impact Investigation to:

  • Assess which parts of a polygon or polyline are affected by an active Insight
  • View a simplified map focused only on impacted areas
  • Understand the scope of impact with a visual and quantitative breakdown

How to Use It

When an Insight is triggered for a polygon or polyline:

  1. A new "Impact Map" option appears in the location's Insight details upon hovering.
  2. Click Impact Map to open a focused view of the affected region.

This map includes:

  • Shaded areas showing impacted regions within the polygon or along the polyline
  • A percentage display of how much of the total area is affected

Note: Investigation is available only when there is an active Insight on the polygon/polyline location, and it is supported for all polygons and polylines. To learn more about monitoring larger geographic regions, see Large Areas Monitoring.

Current Limitations

  • Only one condition can be viewed at a time per investigation.
  • Combined overlays for multiple Insight conditions are not yet supported.
