Available Parameters
Volumetric Soil Moisture
Measures the volume of water present in soil as a percentage of total volume. Available at multiple depths:
Depth Range | Description |
---|---|
0–10 cm | Surface-level moisture within topsoil |
10–40 cm | Root-zone moisture |
40–100 cm | Subsurface moisture |
100–200 cm | Deep-layer moisture |
0–200 cm | Aggregated moisture across the full soil column |
Soil Temperature
Represents the temperature of the soil at specific depths:
Depth Range | Description |
---|---|
0–10 cm | Surface soil temperature |
10–40 cm | Root-zone temperature |
40–100 cm | Subsurface temperature |
100–200 cm | Deep-layer soil temperature |
0–200 cm | Average temperature across all depths |
How to View Soil Data on the Platform
To explore soil conditions in the Tomorrow.io platform:
- Go to the Map View or Trends tab
- Use the dropdown menu to select your desired soil parameter
- View historical or forecasted values over time and by location
